Monaro Community / Access Program
'Thank you and your lovely staff for looking after our mum. She hasn't stopped chatting about the wonderful time she has had. There will be many more bookings, as mum loves it so much.' - feedback, October 2017
Our 'Monaro Community Access / Day Program' provides centre-based care to older people being cared for at home (and also people with early onset dementia being cared for at home) whose primary carer has work commitments or who is training to join the workforce.
The centre, located in Cooma East, is staffed to accommodate a range of working hours including evenings and weekends as necessary. We have also been able to provide support so that a carer can work night shifts.
Ruth is our Coordinator. She and all her staff are trained in aged care and in dementia specific care. They pride themselves on providing a comfortable, safe environment with a 'home away from home' atmosphere, including fresh and nutritious meals prepared in accordance with NSW Food Safety Standards.
This program has proved to be extremely popular with both carers and those who receive care.
