Community Living

The Cooma Challenge Limited Community Living service provides "drop in" assistance to adults with a disability who need low to moderate levels of support to maintain independence and to participate as valued members of the community. If you are a person with  disability who lives on your own or with others but without a carer, you could be eligible for a support package.

You get to choose what support you receive and how often - from a couple of hours each week to seven days a week - so you can focus on what you want to achieve in your life. You might require assistance to shop, run errands, prepare and eat your meals. You might want assistance with mobility, showering or dressing. You might want support to participate in activities that are important to you - artistic, cultural, physical and social activities, staying active and healthy, and keeping connected with your own networks. The care plan we develop with you is specifically for you and your wants, needs and goals.

This program is here to help your health and your well-being and most of all, to make sure you are as independent as you want to be.
